Penn Taproom

The Penn Taproom opened in August 2010 at 80 West State Street in Doylestown, in the old Black Walnut – Siam Cuisine building, a former residence, built in 1864.

The owners set out to create a nice, simple, affordable restaurant with approachable food and drinks for locals and visitors alike – something they thought was a bit lacking in town. The Penn Taproom offers a varied menu of soups, salads, sandwiches, steaks, fish and seafood, plus a kids’ menu. Both the restaurant and bar offer daily food and happy hour specials.

The newly renovated building offers a classic, full bar downstairs and an upstairs dining room which can seat around 40 people. The property also has a beautiful garden and patio which can seat around 80 people in the summertime. Both can be rented for any occasion like business meetings, holiday parties or weddings.

The Penn Taproom is the sister restaurant of the Pennsylvania Soup and Seafood House in the Main Street Marketplace in Doylestown. Together, the two restaurants also offer full service on or offsite catering for any occasion.
