Summary:
The Grill Cook is responsible for preparing and serving short-order items while delivering excellent customer service. Working under regulatory, HACCP, and CARES guidelines, the Grill Cook ensures the safe handling, preparation, and presentation of food. This role maintains cleanliness of the cafeteria servery and keeps grill area supplies well-stocked to support efficient weekend operations.
Essential Functions:
Attend department meetings, in-services, and training sessions as assigned.
Anticipate and respond to customer needs; take appropriate action to resolve concerns.
Stock and replenish grill station supplies per department standards.
Maintain sanitation and cleanliness of cooking, hot-holding, refrigeration/freezer equipment, and utility carts.
Demonstrate a consistently positive and friendly attitude.
Prepare and serve items from the grill and deli station in accordance with the daily menu cycle.
Clean and restock the work area following each meal service.
Adhere to all HACCP and food safety standards.
Notify supervisor of any issues, discrepancies, or product shortages.
Support department goals to enhance retail satisfaction.
Use time and supplies efficiently, demonstrating cost-conscious behavior.
Adapt to changing schedules or tasks as needed to support team needs.
