JRC has been providing children with a unique summer experience since 1934. Our program is designed for kids ages 6-16 who are interested in being outdoors, having fun, and making lasting memories. Campers choose from our wide variety of daily activities, allowing independent decision-making, and giving each child the ability to customize the camp experience. Our rustic living offers children the opportunity to star gaze every night, watch the corn grow, and learn the source of the foods they eat.

JRC staff members focus on helping campers make friends, belong to a positive community, and experience life on a working ranch. We value self-sufficiency, the chance to live simply and responsibly, and the ties of community.

Our accommodations are rustic. We sleep outside under sleeping porches; roofs provide cover, but open walls allow for air flow and cool night breezes. We provide cots and mattresses, our staff sleep in sleeping bags. The head cook has the option of a shared cabin.

Our food is prepared par excellence, each meal from scratch. We bake our own bread, fix meals that make people happy and satisfied, as well as producing some of our own produce in our garden.
