The Spouting Rock Beach Association (established in 1897), also known as Bailey's Beach, is a prestigious Private Club located in Newport, RI. The Club offers a wide range of services to its 500+ members: several Dining choices, a Main Bar and Pool-side Bar, Clay and Grass Tennis Courts, Heated Saltwater Pool and Ocean swimming, Off-site Catering, Private Chef opportunities, Event planning and an extensive summer youth program. The majority of the Club’s members are summer residents of Newport – spending the remainder of the year in New York, Palm Beach, Washington, DC and Europe. Even though Bailey’s provides food, beverage and services to a very demanding clientele, it is done in a casual, comfortable and low-key environment.

The Beach opens on Memorial Day Weekend and closes the last week of September. Lunch is served daily from noon to 3pm in our Snack Bar and Buffet –serving upwards of 650 daily on weekends. The Snack Bar has an extensive sandwich, pizza and Panini station in addition to a grill and pre-made salads. The Buffet features assorted hot & cold entrees, a variety of healthy and creative salads, a self-serve salad bar, several soups and desserts. There is no a la carte service. Most menu items are made from scratch using only the finest local ingredients and change daily. There is an Ice Cream Parlor that also sells breakfast items, snacks and smoothies throughout the day. There are several Club-sponsored Dinner Parties throughout the summer, in addition to a Sunday Night Dinner Buffet and Thursday night casual Family-themed Dinner. The Beach also provides extensive catering in the Members’ homes – everything from a small cookout to a formal multi-course Dinner for 300 guests. The Members also have numerous private events at the Club.

Bailey’s has approximately 140 employees- all but 8 are seasonal. The Kitchen has around 45 employees. The majority of the staff are high school and college students, plus international graduate students from Ireland, Poland, Bulgaria and other Eastern European countries. We provide lunch for the staff daily.
