1. DETAILED JOB DESCRIPTION
1.1 Responsible for the overall operations for the back of the house/kitchen area of the restaurant. EC is to hire staff, purchase food and stock, and make sure everyone is trained on proper food preparation and kitchen safety techniques. In addition, EC should ensure that the company’s standards are upheld: items are cooked properly, portions are correct, cook time is correct, plating is correct. EC must also make sure that the kitchen is properly cleaned on a regular schedule, all sanitation standards met.
Any changes to recipes and any additional recipes created need to be updated in the recipe book with the proper format and laminated.
Food Inventory will be conducted every Monday – until written agreement between EC and Village Tavern states otherwise.
Chef must control food cost, waste, labor, doing his best to optimize profits for the company and creating the best dining experience possible for our guests
Leadership is key and the ability to motivate and manage employees, rallying the team during heavy shifts, resolving internal conflicts.
Chef must clock in, and post personal and personnel schedules through schedulefly.com, Chef must reach 55 hours a week minimum, days off cannot include Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays, or holidays.
