Dancing Bear Lodge and Appalachian Bistro is a 36 acre resort at the edge of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park in Townsend, TN. We feature a world class restaurant that has been featured in the national media frequently since inception in August of 2015. The most recent award is from the TN Dept of Tourism which selected 3 restaurants in the State of TN (West, Middle, and East) to represent the culture and the cuisine of each grand divide of the State. For East TN, Dancing Bear Appalachian Bistro was selected. Previously, Trip Advisor selected Dancing Bear as one of the Top 25 Most Romantic Restaurants in the US. So we take great satisfaction in knowing that our commitment to the Appalachian cuisine movement is being recognized, and that guests travel from all over the country to lodge and dine with us. We also host weddings and events in our multiple outdoor spaces and frequently create our own special events.
