Whether your taste buds are in the mood for savory home made soups, a scrumptious family style meal, or an elegant formal dinner for 400, LaSure’s Café, Cakes and Catering is THE place to go in the Fox Valley. Shirley “Sure” and Tom Heisler began the business in 1974 as they turned her cake-making hobby into a bakery, specializing in elegantly decorated wedding cakes and perfecting her secret recipe for Butter Cream Frosting. LaSure’s continues to thrill hundreds of brides each year with wedding cakes that are beautiful, moist and delicious. With over 25 cake flavors to chose from, you are “sure” to find several to please your palate.

With the addition of the café in 1982, LaSure’s began to offer REAL home cooked meals “so good you’ll think your Mom was in the kitchen.” Daily specials like Beef Short Ribs, Pork Cutlets, Roast Chicken, Ribs and Sauerkraut, Beef Tenderloin Tips, and of course, Friday Fish Fry all tempt your appetite. Top off your dinner with one of over a dozen home made pies or delicious cookies.

Shirley and Tom’s son Bob and his wife Bev, joined the family business in 1985 with a new vision. Bev learned the cake decorating trade and perfected her talents while Bob focused on the restaurant and developed the off premise catering service.

As the Heisler's looked to the future, Bob and Bev recognized the need for a modern and elegant banquet hall to host weddings, parties, and meetings of all kinds. In April 2002, LaSure’s Hall opened its doors adjacent to a new Hawthorn Inn and Suites at 3125 S. Washburn Street, with easy access off U.S. Highway 41 on the south side of Oshkosh. LaSure’s catering operations moved into the hall’s new kitchen facility and provide fare for both the banquet hall and off premise catering. Bob manages the day- to-day operations at LaSure’s Banquet Hall and off premise catering events with the assistance of Sales Manager Talia Stone and Catering Consultant Maria Urban

The third generation is also involved in the family business. Bev and Bob’s sons, Craig and Curt, help their mother manage the day-to-day operations at the bakery and cafe', serving up home cooked meals, daily specials and tantalizing cakes, muffins, pies and pastries. LaSure’s Bakery and the home style Cafe' is still located at 1570 Ripon Lane, just off State Highway 44, in Oshkosh where they are known for “ food so good you'd think your Mom was in the kitchen”!

The Heisler family and their experienced staff have over 145 years of combined experience in the food industry including coordinating fundraisers, weddings, and business meetings, which can only "La Sure" your next meal or event will be a delicious success.
