Catering Manager 3

Sodexos Campus Segment is seeking a dynamic and driven Catering Manager 3 to lead the development of a new catering department on a vibrant university campus located in Long Island, NY . This is an exciting opportunity for a hospitality professional with a passion for innovation, operations, and creating exceptional guest experiences.

The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership skills , proven team-building capabilities , and financial acumen , along with a successful track record in high-volume catering sales $500K+ annually . Prior experience in sales and event execution is required, and the ability to build and scale a department from the ground up is essential.

• Lead the development and launch of a new catering department, including strategy, structure, and staffing.

• Drive catering sales growth by identifying opportunities and building strong client relationships.

• Manage all aspects of catered events from planning through execution, ensuring exceptional quality and service.

• Collaborate with culinary and operations teams to deliver creative and customized catering solutions.

• Provide leadership, coaching, and professional development to team members.

• Ensure compliance with Sodexo standards, safety protocols, and budget expectations.

• Previous experience managing catering operations with sales exceeding $500K annually .

• Strong background in hospitality management , event planning , and client relations .

• Demonstrated ability to lead teams, manage budgets, and deliver on financial targets.

• Culinary creativity and an understanding of current catering trends.

• Bachelors degree in hospitality or related field preferred.

Minimum Education Requirement - Associate's Degree or equivalent experience
Minimum Management Experience - 2 years
Minimum Functional Experience 1 year work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
