Childcare part-time Cook

Alphabet Academy North in Hamden, Connecticut is seeking a part-time cook (25 hours per week) for its progressive food program. We serve children (infants through kindergarten) mostly organic, local and whole food daily, Monday through Friday. What you will do:

• work alongside our Chef
• daily prep of snacks and lunches for 3 schools
• communicate clearly, professionally and effectively
• promote and contribute to a positive team environment

What you need:

• at least 1 year of prior kitchen experience
• energetic demeanor, team player
• strong work ethic and integrity
• strong knife skills
• basic baking experience
• Serve safe certification a plus
